Venemaa rikkaim inimene Mihhail Prohhorov, kelle varandus ulatub ajalehe Forbes andmetel üle 100 miljardi Eesti krooni, tegi konkreetse pakkumise NBA korvpallimeeskonna New Jersey Netsi ostmiseks. Prohhorovi firma Onexim tegi pakkumise senisele omanikule Bruce Ratnerile. Venelane soovib osta enamuse aktsiatest ning on valmis laenama suure summa raha uue spordihalli ehitamiseks. Nimelt on Netsil plaan kolida lähiaastatel New Jerseyst New Yorki. Praegu rahastab Prohhorov Moskva CSKA meeskonda. Miljardäri plaan on viia Venemaa korvpall tippu ning selleks saab tema meelest kasutada ka NBA klubi, kus venelastest treenerid saaksid stažeerimas käia.
