A young man in a post-apocalyptic world reminisces about his dream of extraterrestrial contact.

 

 

 

INTRODUCTION

My name is Einar Kuusk, I'm an aspiring filmmaker from Estonia and I'm raising money for my epic debut short film "The Most Beautiful Day". This film will be produced by my production company Kame House Productions in collaboration with Darkness Of Light Pictures and it will be filmed in Estonia.

 

Please note that if you decide to pledge and help us make this film a reality, you will get all your money back if this campaign doesn't reach it's goal!

 

 

WHAT IS THE FILM ABOUT?

"The Most Beautiful Day" is a live action, sci-fi short film of a young man's life in a post-apocalyptic world. The story is inspired from independent musician Professor Kliq's song of the same name. The film starts by introducing the audience the setting and we see the main character walking around in this new world after a cataclysm mysterious to us.

After a regular exploration in the remnants of the old world, looking for food and useful tools, the protagonist goes to his home in an abandoned apartment building.

He opens up his diary and starts reminiscing about a recurring dream he has, where he wakes up in the most beautiful day he has ever seen and witnesses millions of alien spacecraft invading the planet. As he talks about this dream, we see him occasionally walking in places that resemble the ones he was exploring in his dream, only that the real-life versions are post-apocalyptic and lonely in nature.

We also see a scared, starving young woman following and watching the main character, the latter seeming totally ignorant of this.

He continues to explain what he thinks the dream means. Which is that the day we come in contact with something from another world, it will be the most beautiful day for the human race. If there's any single word to describe the true meaning of this film, it is hope...

The film will be approximately 10 minutes long and shot in RED 2K. It will be uploaded online, free to watch and enjoy for everyone.

THE MUSIC

The soundtrack for the film will be composed by the talented Swedish composer Hannes Johansson. Below you can listen to a wide selection of his work.

 

 

 

WHERE WILL THE MONEY GO?

All of the pledges will go into the production of this short film.

The money will be used for:

• Equipment rental: RED Scarlet, lenses, slider, steadycam, lighting, sound equipment.
  
• Helicam with operator
  
• Greenscreen
  
• Transportation
  
• Make-up artist
  

Yes, we only need funds for transportation, make-up, greenscreen and equipment rental! The whole crew will be working for free, to create an epic short film for everyone to enjoy...

In the event that the film raises more than the minimum budget of 9001$, we will put all that money into making the movie even bigger and more epic! That would include more aerial shots, more awesome CGI in post and more footage filmed!
